About The Brand, Blikvanger

Blikvanger is a Georgian fashion label established in Tbilisi and founded in November 2016 by designers Ana Odishelidze and Ani Tsintskiladze. A few months after the brand foundation, they opened a concept store in Tbilisi. Currently, Ani continues to be the only designer of the brand. Since 2017, Blikvanger has been showcasing on the MBFWT runway, and it has also participated in MBFW Madrid and Fashion Week Poland. Its collection gained even more visibility with the features at the Pitti Super showroom in Milan and Who’s Next trade show in Paris.

The name – Blikvanger – is a German-Dutch word meaning eye-catcher, memorable, but also butterfly catcher. The name perfectly conveys the sense of freedom and the dreamy art of the brand's couture.

Blikvanger: Design and Style

The concept and meaning of the brand are bringing together a variety of styles and making them blend into one concept: being fierce and confident. The styles span from classic to grunge, giving its customers a chance to express their inner world as they want and to dress out of frame. It seeks to unravel the multidimensional personality and diverse temper. However, in its style, Blikvanger always catches a perfect balance between “normal” and “out of frame”. The brand’s collections mostly focus on multi-functional and transformative clothing, embroidery and colour varieties.
