The fashion world is always ahead of us, and there is a good reason for it. The spring and summer collections have been showcased during September and early October, and we're thankful for the early notice. It gives us plenty of time to summarize our impressions, narrow down our choices, and it gives fast fashion retailers plenty of time to provide their own interpretations of the predicted and dictated trends so they're available to a broader audience just in time for them to rock them.
So, here it is, the list of the best and most wearable trends for you to pick and choose from and welcome spring the way it's supposed to be done.
50 Shades Of Purple
Millennial pink has in the past couple of years been one of the most dominant hues out there, present in both couture gowns as well as athleisure pieces. While the presence of the gender-neutral hue was still strong on the runways, it has been slightly overshadowed by the presence of a variety of purples. So, this spring, take a cue from Carolina Herrera, and rock the dark and powerful purple, Ultra Violet - the official color of the year 2018, as well as lighter pastel hues such as lilac. The romantic and subtle lilac will make you look like walking spring, and you can wear it deep into summer, even be the ultimate resort style goddess.
If You Like It, Flaunt It
If you were saddened by the death of the logo, feel free to rejoice, because logomania is definitely back. It seems as if the logo wasn't dead so much as it was taking a nap while designers were preparing to make it bigger and more conspicuous. Every fashion powerhouse, from Gucci, Fendi to Versace did not hold back on splashing the logo all over tops, bags, dresses, so all you have to do is find your favorite brand and surely find at least one item with your beloved logo on it. When worn in an ensemble that's overall understated and low-key, the logo can look incredibly cool, chic even.
A Little Asymmetrical Party
Spotted at Altuzarra, Isabel Marant and numerous other designers, the asymmetrical neckline is definitely the most captivating trend. The fabric seems to be everywhere - the neck, the collarbone, the shoulders, and yet still leaving plenty of skin exposed for an additional dose of sensuality. Both tops and dresses with this neckline are already available, and Aussie girls have already snagged their asymmetrical party dresses in Australia, and they're rocking them while it's still summer, but northern hemisphere, worry not, your time to shine is just arriving.
The Shifty Times
As much as we anticipate the arrival of spring, we must bear in mind that the season can play tricks on us and bring sudden chills leaving us in dire need of great outerwear. The piece to own this season is an oldie but goldie - the mighty trench coat. If you already own one in a neutral camel hue, make sure it's dry-cleaned and ready for those chilly spring days. Those of you whose wardrobe is short of this item, better hop to it, and while you're browsing, you might want to check the upgraded 2018 version which can be embroidered, or even deconstructed as seen on the models walking for Alexander McQueen.
Power up, suit up - the point is the same. We already know that the power suit of the fall and winter of 2017 was either red or plaid, as these were the dominant color and pattern of the season, respectively. The plaid and red will still be worn during spring, make no mistake about it, but if you wish to be the epitome of spring power, your choice of suit will be a poignant white, complete with a wide-shoulder blazer as done by Tom Ford, because nothing says 'powerful' like shoulders that just don't quit.

We don’t know about you, but the thought of new makeup makes us downright giddy. That feeling you get when you grab your brushes and start playing with colours is light-hearted and exciting, and once you add fashion to it and start creating complementary looks, the fun only increases. There’s something delightfully romantic and fresh about spring makeup trends, and this year promises to be a mix of sensual, chic, and bright.
Feeling eager yet? Then check out the trends that range from delicate to bold, and make sure to pick up a few ideas so you can be ready once springtime comes.
From Pat McGrath’s work on Tom Ford’s runway show, to Marc Jacobs’ models sporting an almost bare face with only inky, dramatic eyeliner, this trend is bold, unique, and certainly requires a steady hand! A more wearable version was seen on the Monse runway where the models had double wing liner, but we absolutely encourage you to have fun and go further – Pat McGrath drew thick eyeliner shapes, then added a touch of lip gloss on top to give it that wet, grungy, dangerous look.
When was the last time you saw bright yellow eyeshadow on anyone? Well, our impression from the Novis runway is that it’s a trend that’s absolutely got to gain traction. A dose of sunny yellow on your eyelids? Warmth, happiness, and blooming dandelions in spring! It’s very effective on its own so you won’t need anything more than a touch of mascara to make it work, and it can go beautifully with a simple, demure, white lace dress. You’ll practically be the impersonation of spring with this look.
Lips And Tips
The good old “match your lipstick to your nail polish” rule is coming back, but this time with dark colours in mind. Dramatic black lips on a natural-looking bare face paired with black polish is giving us some real supermodel vibes.
Big Eyes, Bigger Lashes
One of the biggest Australian trends in recent years, huge, dramatic eyelashes, is every Aussie girl’s dream. In the land of pretty much eternal summer and beach time, smudgy mascara is not exactly attractive, so it’s no wonder that ladies are getting eyelash extensions in Sydney, which is famous for its specialists. If you want to forgo mascara and have naturally gorgeous lashes even when you’re completely makeup-free, we recommend trying this out. Christian Siriano seems to love big, bold lashes as well, and most of his models were sporting a 60’s-inspired, clumpy-looking volume accomplished by pilling on a ton of mascara. With extensions, no need clumps!
Highlighter, Always More Highlighter
Miss Rihanna’s touch seems to turn everything to gold, so it’s no wonder her Fenty Beauty has gained such a huge following in a very short amount of time. Her famous Trophy Wife highlighter was seen on almost all models on the Puma runway and we still can’t get over the fact just how good it looks, especially on women of colour.
Messy, smokey, rosy bronze and burgundy eyeshadow might be one of the sultriest looks we’ve seen on the runways, the courtesy of Brock Spring 2018 collection. Instead of the old-school black and grey smoky eyes, we suggest this seductive alternative – it’s more natural-looking, sexy, and goes great with nude lipstick.
So, what’ll it be? Soft and natural, or dramatic and colorful? This year is giving us a ton of options, and we can’t wait to see how you’ll play with your makeup and what kind of looks will you create. We encourage experimenting with all of these and enjoying the varied creativity of 2018 spring trends!

From clothing that was seen as athlete-exclusive, to something your mom will wear on her busy days, and then finally a step further to something international celebrities will rock on the streets to show off their laid-back attitude, class, and healthy lifestyle. Activewear, or athleisure, is a trend that has been on the rise for quite some time now, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. We just can’t get enough of it. It’s comfort and style combined, it’s high fashion paired with practicality, so is it any wonder that we’re fully embracing this new direction?
This is the trend to follow right now, so let’s chat about how it was influenced, and what’s the most popular way to rock it today.
1. It Girls Sashy Down The Highstreet
From the moment she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Gigi Hadid became a relentless gym-goer and healthy lifestyle supporter. We saw her in everything from sexy little purple training bra paired with faux leather leggings, to downright graceful and delicate black ballet leotard paired with a lush grey coat and a big handbag. With some comfy footwear and sassy sunglasses on, she’s giving us life every time we see her leaving the gym.
Kendall Jenner doesn’t lag far behind her bestie either, and her look for the Milan Fashion Week this September was an incredibly successful mix of glamour and chic comfort. An oversized, shoulder-baring white sweater paired with an Adidas-like cropped pants? This girl is killing it with her fashion game. The perfect blend of slouchy and sleek gave her that cool vibe that we’re all longing for.
Take it from the A-lister ladies, this trend is the new version of effortless chic, and look at Gigi, Kendall, Selena Gomez, and even the Duchess of Cambridge for inspiration.
2. Queen Bey Comes To Rule The Gym
Look, if Beyoncé is loving a trend, then we’re all for it. With her last year’s launch of Ivy Park clothing line and the idea that athleisure is there to celebrate every woman’s body, we’re seeing a significant spike in activewear movement. Pretty little crop tops, simple black and white prints, and giant hoodies are Bey’s go-to ideas for her own line, and we’re loving the casual, soft feel of everything.
Pair slim leggings and a baggy crop top, put on a colorful headband, and you’ll be looking as fierce as our queen.
3. Rihanna Slays It With Puma
After her incredible success with Fenty Beauty, Rihanna seems to be fully embracing body-positivity, and activewear is definitely something that is meant to fit everyone. She paired up with Puma and the collection we’re seeing has this wonderfully retro feel that we’re absolutely loving at the moment. Velour tracksuits, varsity sweaters, turtleneck crop tops, and a bunch of biker shorts, French-cut racy swimsuits, scuba suits, and all of this in bright neon colors.
If you want crazy, if you want color, this is the thing for you, because it ties in fashion with fun, it’s bold, it’s unique, and definitely attention-grabbing.
4. How To Pull It Off Like A Celebrity
Whether you’re a busy lady with a million things to do in a day, or just someone who loves their fashion to be both high-class and comfortable, activewear is probably one of the easiest things to pull off. You just have to let yourself go there, you have to embrace the slouchy, sexy feel of effortless beauty. Gigi Hadid’s combo of all-pink tracksuit and a coat is perfect for a feminine lady who wants some romance in her outfit, and we’re definitely seeing a trend of blue and orange peeking out on the runways for the next year’s season.
Don’t be afraid to make it all more fun though, that’s the greatest thing about this trend. You take something simple, comfy, and then you can feel free to go crazy and get a watercolor splatter print, or something with jungle motives. Ombre looks and geometric designs are also really in.
Embrace the relaxed ease of this trend, ladies! While you’re stocking up on some cute athleisure, why not renew your gym membership and really start enjoying the whole lifestyle?

In the world of skincare and makeup, things seem to be changing at the speed of light. It appears like every new day brings a new magical cream, an abundance of serums that promise to change our skin forever, along with numerous other topical innovations. They all boast an abundance of retinol, vitamins, collagen and antioxidants that guarantee a flawless complexion and plump, radiant skin. It was only a matter of time when something new will appear on the skincare market, and now it has. To our surprise, it wasn’t another skincare product, at least not one applied in a traditional matter.
Although the effectiveness of the new drinkable skincare trend is yet to transpire, every innovative step is bound to tickle and intrigue us. If it proves effective, it could change the way we view and practice skincare for good, but as the effectiveness of the new trend still await proof, all we can do is explore the topic with as many pieces of information we have, give it a go and see what happens.
1. Putting Our Finger On It
What is drinkable skincare exactly? Given that it’s a ‘brand new thing’ in skincare, it’s difficult to put a finger on it. The rise of drinkable collagen or even a digestible SPF and probiotics in concoctions that promise to reduce dark spots and dull skin, fight aging and target numerous other skincare issues and concerns is, however, undeniable. The products in question vary from vitamin-rich juices to dry supplements that are supposed to be added to your regular beverages.
Besides, the ‘line’ of products goes as far as to introduce a collagen peptide, a drink whose effectiveness has been studied by the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. According to their report, the consumption of this drink has increased skin hydration within an eight-week time span, as well as collagen density in the dermis. The study concludes that the oral supplementation has definitely proven effective in slowing down the aging process, and that is definitely food for thought.
2. The Idea Behind It
Again, it’s difficult to state where the idea for this kind of skincare came from, but given the increasing popularity of fresh-pressed juices that were initially used as a means to detox and cleanse the body from the built-up toxins, this is a safe place to start. It’s hard not to notice that people have been investing in quality cold-press juicers, like the ones by reputable brands such as Kuvings for years now, as they wish to get all the best ingredients out of their fruits and other members of the superfoods family.
The term superfoods has been around for quite some time now. One of their trademark features is the fact that they do wonders for the skin. The holistic approach to skincare has always emphasized the inextricable bond between the gut and the skin, claiming that what we put inside our body is as important (if not more important) as what we put on it. For instance, according to the holistic approach, sedentary lifestyle, a sugar-based diet and food sensitivities don’t only affect our overall health, but inevitably reflect on our skin, and NYC-based dermatologist Whitney Bowe, MD agrees. She states that “research has shown that the bacteria in your gut interact with your immune system, which leads to changes in your skin. Harmful bacteria in your gut can lead to inflammation—like redness, acne, and rosacea.”
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the effects of a healthy diet featuring yogurts, and vitamin-packed juices will be easily visible. It’s even less surprising that someone came up with drinkable solutions for all our skin problems.
3. The Future
Predicting the future is a tricky feat, but if the study with collagen is any indication, it’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing more and more of these types of skincare products. That being said, this is still a novelty, and one that could fade out just as fast as it came in, so don’t go clearing out your bathroom cabinets just yet. Of course, pressed juices are always welcome, as we know how important vitamin intake is for our health. As for skincare, yes, the connection between body and skin is strong, but whether drinkable skincare products will stand the test of time – well, only time will tell.

Whether you’re looking for some sweetness in the form of a ruffled bikini or craving a bombshell-red sleek one-piece to make you stand out, there’s no doubt that a swimsuit is something very personal.
It speaks of style as much as our everyday fashion does, and it’s one of the most important wardrobe pieces to pack when you’re travelling. Imagine having to get through a vacation in an ill-fitting swimsuit that makes you look terrible. Shying away from the beach and trying to cover up at every chance is no fun at all.
So, to find your perfect piece, we introduce some of the coolest, most iconic swimwear brands that have graced the world, hoping it will inspire some nice shopping experiences.
Let’s start out with a Frenchman, because really, what is life without the French? Dull, that’s what it is. Launched in 1946 by a man named Louis Réard, it followed the end of Second World War and liberation of Europe. Réard, bless his fantastic French mind, is the man who invented the bikini and gave women a way to feel empowered, and to show off their body to their heart’s desire. For the sexy little Bond girl in you, this brand takes alluring and then kicks it up a notch to really make stunning pieces that are perfect for those moments when you want jaws to drop as you walk by.
Straight out of Pretty Women and into your closet, Hunza G is just the brand for some chic, sleek beauty. Worn by Julia Roberts on the set, this is where you’ll find sporty mixed with modern and feel like a fabulous rich Hollywood star as you lounge on the beach. Don’t forget to pair your gorgeous one-piece with a floppy hat and big sunglasses for that mysterious diva vibe.
No one knows beaches and sun-kissed beauty like Australians do, and this marvellous brand aims to bring unforgettable summer fun and classic beauty to women around the world. Founded in 1975, the company makes some of the most gorgeous ladies’ swimwear that’s internationally recognized.
The winners or several Marie Claire’s Reader’s Choice “Best Swimwear” Awards and Fashion Industry Awards, this is where you should turn to if you want quality coupled with trend-setting elegance. From Taylor Swift’s Cabana Rose bikini, to Katy Perry’s chartreuse bustier, and even Gigi Hadid’s beach style, celebrities love this brand’s distinctive style and you can often see it gracing the covers of famous magazines.
How do you capture that unique mix of sweet and naughty that Selena Gomez rocks so effortlessly? Let us tell you her secret: Lisa Marie Fernandez swimsuits. The two-piece behind one of the most famous Instagram photos belongs to this fun, colourful brand. Feminine and sassy, it’s for the girl who longs for subtle and sexy swimwear to grace her figure.
Oh, the amount of stunning you can find with this brand. Definitely not for the faint of heart, these Brazilian swimwear makers give you edgy sportswear and groomed, lustrous elegance that will make you look like the statuesque goddess that you are. Not a very subtle brand by any means, but definitely good for when you want to look unique and bold.
Let’s turn to Aussies again, because we just can’t get enough of their bronzed tans and light-hearted fashion sense. High-class bohemian style is the signature of this brand, and their pieces can help you build a beautiful retro look. Why not live out your pin up fantasy by picking a structured one-piece, or high-waisted bottoms? Bright lipstick is a must.
Summer’s short, ladies. You don’t want to miss out on all the fun, do you? A sexy gal like you deserves the perfect piece that will accentuate the best features and make you feel like the star of the beach.

The stars of the latest shows in the capitals of the fashion universe haven’t dazzled us only with their bold strut and magnificent charm with which they wear those stunning collections, but they equally amaze us with their physiques! Now, we already know they practice self-discipline in their dietary habits off-season, that’s no secret, but what about their top choices during these fabulous fashion shows?
You may wonder if these gorgeous gals gulp on enormous amounts of coffee just to be able to survive the number of events that surrounds the fashion shows. Yet most of them, including lovely Kendall, focus on water and detox tea – even up to 12 cups per day! The first one being zero-calorie makes perfect sense, but going for tea also serves to keep their complexion pure, and bellies flat.
If in need of an energy boost, then a healthier caffeine option hides in green tea, and other herbal mixes that lower the levels of inflammation in the body, balance their pH levels and help them with their water intake. Now there’s a tasty way to stay hydrated!
Sometimes these ladies have no time for a complete meal, and their shows can deplete their energy levels in no time, so it becomes essential to keep their bodies fueled at all times. As a result, they resort to healthy snack options such as various types of raw nuts loved by Adriana Lima, but this may ring an alarm bell in your mind because they are filled with fats! Yes, they indeed are, but that is precisely what makes them so satiating, and nibbling on a handful can keep supermodels going for hours on end.
They also rely on hefty amounts of raw fruits and vegetables, such as berries which are packed with antioxidants (extremely important for their immune system and their skin health), and Danielle Copperman swears by coconut yoghurt. Brimming with healthy fats and protein, these snacks are ideal for a girl on the go!
But despite their best efforts and all of these dietary guidelines crafted by the world’s best experts in nutrition, supermodels sometimes need an additional boost to their daily meals. When the shows, parties and lack of sleep threaten to wreak havoc on their wellbeing and beauty, models such as Magdalena Frackowiak safeguard their health with the help of micronutrient-dense supplements.
A clear complexion, a strong immune system and flawless hair require a solid amount of vitamins and minerals, and when there’s no time to stick to a meal-plan, using Solgar vitamins and similar supplements to regular meals and snacks ensures all the essential daily needs.
When there’s time, these ladies will not shy away from a veggie-rich omelet, and Anastasia Ivanova even reaches for an occasional slice of bacon to keep her breakfast tasty. Don’t be surprised if you see them munching on an occasional burger, a slice of pizza or even the dreaded pastry such as croissants, because the need for a convenient energy source sometimes trumps your current dietary limitations.

The soft shade of millennial pink inspired us and brought on a cultural shift last year, but there seems to be a new sheriff in town – revolutionary red. While millennial pink changed the way we perceive gender and was universally considered to be the color of youth and playful quirkiness, red has been around for a long time, and we’ve always associated it with power. Whether it’s in form of sexual energy, or as a statement of capable skillfulness, we always use it to make a statement.
Want to know how the trend appeared and how to get the hottest new look from the runways? We’re here for you.
Red For Revolution
This colour is here both as a response and as a form of extension to what millennial pink meant. We used pink to signify new directions in fashion, to break the boundaries of our preconceived notions of gender. Male celebrities like John Legend, Ashton Kutcher, Pharrell and Bruno Mars have been rocking pink and looking gorgeous in it, and we’re slowly letting go of the idea that pink is frilly and girly. Androgyny has been ruling the runways, but now we’re getting back to red, and the excitement that it brings.
From Hillary Clinton’s pantsuit, to Sofia Vergara’s array of bodycon dresses, red is the colour of feminine power, it’s the colour of rebellion and protests. From the TV adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, to designers like Max Mara, Fendi and Oscar de la Renta, red is used to signify something bold, something potent and dynamic.
Update your wardrobe
source / source / source / source
Regardless of whether you care much for social politics or not, red is still the perfect colour for the fall of 2017. Want to be a stunning beauty? Then take a look at Rihanna’s gorgeous dress from the premiere of Valerian. If you want to turn heads, a red dress is the quickest way to do it. Pick a sexy, off-the-shoulder little dress for a date, or bring that vigor to your everyday work outfit by wearing a form-fitting, knee-length red dress, and throwing a black blazer over it.
Blouses are also a beautiful way to rock this trend, but if you want to be really bold, then go for a pair of over-the-knee boots. Kendall Jenner’s classy red turtleneck paired with bright red lipstick can also be a good inspiration for some everyday elegance and sophistication.
Accessories can go a very long way in making a statement, and wearing pretty little details like the ones you can find here can really bring that oomph to your entire outfit. A big leather handbag can provide the perfect contrast to a red dress, or you could wear something that’s all-black and then offset it with a few pieces of vivid red. Just imagine a black sweater and a neat pencil skirt, and then red nail polish, a red brooch and little square scarf tied around your neck. You’ve just turned something that was practically invisible into something chic and stylish.
Red also works beautifully with metallics, so strappy gold sandals or a thin silvery belt can give you that nice dose of glam.
Red is modern now, yes, but it’s also timeless, and a fashion diva might wish to pay tribute to famous ladies from history who wore this color and made it so famously feminine. Take Marilyn Monroe’s famous dress from River of No Return if you want an inspiration for something jaw-droppingly sexy, or in case you want that refined, cultured fashion take Grace Kelly’s loveliness and elegance to really show the world your incredible style.
Wearing red is more than just following a trend. It’s not a color that can be worn by the meek, it’s something that grabs people’s attention and holds it. It represents the raw power of women, it enchants you and commands respect. So, be daring, and be confident. There’s no way you can’t look good in the perfect shade of revolutionary red.

Party season seems to go hand in hand with the holiday one, so it’s about time to start thinking about your choice of attire for all those forthcoming events you’ve been invited to. Your outfit should represent the jolly spirit, be elegant and classy - but also a bit edgy - so you should skip the expected ones and feel free to experiment with new, and a bit unusual combinations. This can be a great opportunity to spoil yourself a bit and greet the holidays in a brand-new outfit, or you can check out your wardrobe and find some forgotten jewels, or simply spice up some of your favorite pieces of garments.
When choosing your outfit, like with any other event, you should consider the venue and the type of party you’ll be attending. Otherwise, you can end up over or underdressed, which is the biggest mistake you can make. First ask around how formal is it going to be and then start planning your look. If you need an inspiration, we’ll give you a couple of ideas on how to create a glamorous, chic, edgy and stunning look for the holiday parties.
Her Majesty: LBD
It’s a classic, but with a good dress you can never go wrong. If you want to play safe, choose the little black dress, but spice it up a bit if you want to get the winning combination. Considering the type of venue, for a formal occasion you can liven up a LBD with high heeled shoes in some bright colour and matching jewelry.
If the party isn’t too formal, the choices are numerous: from sparkling or metallic shoes in silver or golden shades, to unusual models, modern, geometrical cuts and various lengths – you can glam up your LBD any way you like. A light, elegant blazer in some bold print over your dress will be a great combination for any occasion.
Instead of choosing the usual materials, like cotton, viscose or synthetics, opt for the more feminine and gentle fabrics, such as velvet, silk and lace. Velvet, as a soft, warm and smooth fabric is one of the best choices for holiday outfit. If you have some velvet dress or skirt left from the ‘90s, now is the perfect time to bring it out and let it shine again. But, if you want to achieve a retro instead of a passé look, you’ll have to make a smart match with your clothes. For example, a velvet skirt in some dark shade (like deep red or green) will go great with a sheer metallic top or a lingerie blouse.
For a trendy and chic touch, put a leather or bomber jacket over it, like the one from the new women’s Saint Laurent clothing collection. These are also a good example for a piece of clothing that you’ll find very useful even after the holidays are over, so you shouldn’t feel guilty if you have to buy it. One of these jackets can also be a good match when creating an edgy look based on silk or lace garments. For an astonishing outfit, choose a black leather skirt combined with a lace blouse or a silky dress in some bright festive shade, like red or green, and pair it with nice heels or ankle-strap pumps.
Suits and jumpsuits can be equally elegant and chic like dresses. Instead of a classic women suit, choose a velvet one, with a deep neckline and some sexy, laced lingerie underneath it (but be very careful what you’re choosing, otherwise you can end up looking cheap and tacky).
Monochromatic jumpsuits are also a good solution for a formal event, when they are combined with heels in some bold print, a matching belt and statement earrings. If you decide to go with a two toned jumpsuit, avoid prints on the other parts of your outfit. For the final edgy look, put on a dark lipstick, like deep blue or purple, and your lips will get the velvet touch too.
Sparkle And Dazzle
Holidays are the time of celebration so feel free to shine as much as you like. Add some glitter to your clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry and makeup. This way you’ll elevate any outfit and secure a fabulous, bold and “ready to party” look.
These stylish, chic and sparkling outfits are not reserved for parties only, so feel free to spread this festive feeling around during the whole season. Find a way to include the holiday spirit into your everyday look as it will lift up not just your mood, but also the atmosphere anywhere you go. After all, everyone loves a little bit of glamour and sensation in their lives from time to time, and there’s no more appropriate moment than the holiday season to treat yourself to it. So, seize the opportunity and enjoy it, while it lasts.
