The sun was out, then it went back in again and It got me thinking, where my travels would take me this year. Seeking inspiration from the Milan catwalks, I noted Salvatore Ferragamo showing us clear idea of where our suitcases should be heading.
Combining underwater prints with feminine detailing such as the dipped hem and floating acquatic fish tails and fins on the maxi. Featuring other favourites such as the jump and trouser suit, Salvatore has taken the underwater trend and brought it overland to the jungle and back. This collection swims the tropical sea to bring you bright coral hues of fuchsia, oranges and red. The jungle-look equally insignias with strong greens, bright flora and tropical wildlife print. All pieces recounting one hell of an exotic globe- trotting encounter played out within the feminine sensuality of silk.
Not dissimilar to last year's trend of tropical inspired clothing, these collections repaint last year's tropical prints, with a generous splash of tropical and oceanic colour and haphazard pattern mismatch. Think little Miss Mermaid meets psychedelic Jungle Book and you are almost there. Plan your journey and celebrate these prints. Just look how Cheryl Cole show cases her travels in this outfit in her new video 'Call my name.' Here, we see bright, confident Cheryl embracing key trend principles' of earth, sea and style.

This look is very fluid and embodies key looks of prints, safari, underwater and this seasons Bright's' so you will be able to combine a number of pieces from different looks, so long as the base colour runs through your out fits. Mix and match this up with the use of smooth silk looking fabrics and items with feminine detail such as the dipped waterfall skirt hem line. And, as a golden rule, if you would see it snorkelling or on flowers growing in tropical climes then wear it and mix it!
Primark have some really lovely printed chiffon dipped hemline dresses to start your look off but you will also find key pieces in lipsy, New look, H n M, even Matalan. Have fun with this look. Even revive last years' Tropicana with mismatched printed scarfs (check your local charity stores for these) and themed jewellery. Givenchy showcased sharks teeth and other sea faring inspired jewellery at the Milan fashion week. Pick up similar items from New Look, charity shops and keep an eye out for jungle and sea themed accessories on your travels.
